Let me tell you a story i read yesterday
There was a devoted believer to God
One day, there was a flood in his hometown
All the houses were flooded, including his
It was so serious that he had to rush to the rooftop
And there he prayed to God to save him
Just then, a boat came over and the driver said
"Get on the boat man, its dangerous"
The guy said "Its ok, you can use the boat to save someone else, God will save me"
Later on, a helicopter flew down and the driver said
"Quick get on the helicopter or else you will drown!"
The guy said "Its ok, you can use the boat to save someone else, God will save me"
After an hour, the water reached the rooftop and the guy drowned
The guy went up to heaven and puzzled, he asked God
"Why didnt you save me back then in the flood?"
God replied "I did try to save you, i sent a boat and even a helicopter to save you but you didnt want to be saved"
Morale of the story : In life, we have opportunities and these opportunities dont come easy. Therefore we must cherish every single opportunity we have, even if its insignificant. Otherwise, that same opportunity may not come again and we may end up drowning for nothing
School has been pretty tight lately
There's 2 project presentations this week, Econs (Today) and CSA (Tomorrow)
Econs was alright,i think we did alright though, thanks Benz and YH!
CSA presentation tml, think the 3 hrs break gotta finish up the powerpoint
Lately i've been listening to this song, "Love, Me" by Collin Raye which is also my blog's first song
It was introduced to me back then when i was in Sec 4
The lyrics are very inspiring and touching and the music is soothing.
I read a note my Grandma wrote back in 1923
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me
He said, "Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I love your Grandma so.
We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together
Get married in the first town we came to and live forever
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet instead
I found this letter, and this is what it said :
"If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be
But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then
Til I see you again
I'll be loving you
Love, Me."
I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away
In the doorway of the church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray
I know I've never seen him cry in all my fifteen years
But as he said these words to her, his eyes fill up with tears
"If you get there before I do

I don't know how long I'll be
But I'm not gonna let you down
